Leukemia Children Care
Visiting children with leukemia has been a profoundly moving experience for me. Over the past two years, I’ve made multiple trips to the hospital, each visit leaving a lasting impression on my heart. My primary aim was to bring some joy and comfort to these brave young fighters, who face such immense challenges daily. Playing the erhu for them became a way to share my passion for music and create a serene atmosphere amidst the clinical environment.
The children’s faces would light up when they heard the first notes of the erhu. It was incredible to see their expressions change, even if just for a short while, as the music transported them away from their pain. The soothing melodies seemed to provide a sense of peace, offering a brief escape from their reality.
Beyond playing music, I also spent time talking, reading stories, and simply being there for them. Looking after these children, even in small ways, taught me a lot about resilience and the importance of support. Each visit reinforced my belief in the power of compassion and human connection. Their strength and positivity, despite their circumstances, continue to inspire me. I hope to keep visiting and supporting them, making a difference, one note and one smile at a time.
